Terms & Conditions of Contract

1. The quartet will require a performing space of at least 7ft by 6ft and four armless chairs.
2. The quartet will only be able to perform outside if there is adequate shade or undercover. This is to protect the musicians and the instruments from direct sunlight/ heat, wind and rain.
3. Suitable lighting is required.
4. During the arranged time, the quartet may take short breaks, which will not exceed 15 minutes.
5. The deposit is non-refundable.
6. It is the sole discretion of the client to inform the venue that the quartet will be performing.
7. If the ceremony starts more than 30 minutes late, then the quartet may not be able to stay any longer than the times stated on the booking form. This is due to other commitments or other functions we may need to get to.
8. If a change of personnel within the quartet is required, then a suitable ‘dep’ will be provided.
9. The balance must be paid in full no later than 2 months before the date of engagement.
10. All payments must be made to the Caradog String Quartet. This can be done by cheque or bank transfer.
11. If you need to cancel the quartet for any reason then we need 2 months’ notice, or the remaining balance must be paid in full.
12. If you require the quartet to play for more than 3 hours then refreshments will need to be provided, i.e. sandwiches and drinks.
13. The client will have no come back on the Caradog String Quartet in the event of ‘Acts of God’ preventing or disrupting a performance.
14. All performers have their own insurance to cover instruments and public liability.
15. All members of the Caradog String Quartet have been DBS checked.

N.B. N.B Please note that a civil ceremony is usually no longer than 30minutes and a
church ceremony an hour. These times do not include the guests arriving. The quartet is more than happy to play for the guests arriving at the venue before the ceremony begins if it doesn’t exceed 30 minutes.
