Rebecca

Violin - Rebecca Bradley

Born in Caerphilly, Rebecca started playing the violin at the age of eight and then went on to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Soon after graduating in 1997, Rebecca started freelancing with many professional Orchestras, choirs and amateur dramatic societies; such as The Welsh Chamber orchestra, Welsh Sinfonia, Amadeus Orchestra, West of England Philharmonic, Opera Box (Swansea City Opera), Swansea Bach Choral Society, Morriston Orpheus Choral Society, Serendipity, Orbit Theatre Company and many more. Rebecca has also worked on Television productions for HTV and S4C.

When Rebecca is not performing she teaches part time for Caerphilly music service as well as looking after a young family.

Tanwen

Violin - Tanwen Evans

Born and brought up in Cardiff, Tanwen graduated from the Royal College of Music in 1996.

She has since pursued a freelance career which has enabled her to play in many Orchestras and Chamber groups including National Symphony Orchestra, Welsh Sinfonia and New Queens Hall Orchestra. Tanwen has also played at St James Palace for Prince Charles, at Wigmore Hall London, and has accompanied artists such as Katherine Jenkins and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

 

 

Niamh

Viola - Niamh Ferris

Niamh began playing the violin at the age of eight and soon realised it was a passion she wanted to pursue as she got older. She gained a place at Birmingham Conservatoire where she started studying violin but later changed to study viola with Rivka Golani. At present, she is studying at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she will complete her studies.

As well as studying full time, Niamh has worked with a wide range of artists that have been broadcast on BBC Radio as well as BBC1 and S4C Television. These performances include Sinfonia Cymru, Russell Watson and hip hop artist Kanye West. Her freelance career has enabled her to play for Princess Anne, the Duchess of Gloucester and to perform regularly with the Chamber Orchestra of Wales. She is also a keen violin and viola teacher.

Abigail

Cello - Abigail Blackman

Abigail Blackman began learning the cello at the age of eight. After progressing through the various orchestras in her home town of Gloucester, she continued her studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where she gained ber BA (Hons) degree in Music with distinction. She then went on to accept a place at the Royal College of Music in London and gained her Post Graduate Diploma in performance in solo/ensemble recital.

As a freelance cellist, Abigail has performed with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orchestra West, the Orchestra of the Swan, the Welsh Sinfonia, the National Concert Orchestra of Wales, the National Chamber Orchestra of Wales, Christmas Festival Orchestra with Hayley Westenra, Taunton Symphony Orchestra, Chepstow Chamber Orchestra as principal, Sinfolia Cymru and many more. Abigail was chosen to give a private performance for HRH the Prince of Wales at the opening of the Sir Anthomy Hopkins Centre at the Royal Welsh College of Music.

Abigail is also a teacher for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Junior Department, Llandaff Cathedral School and Caerphilly Music Service. Abigail divides her time between her love of performing and caring for her young family.
